Story

Gokuu and Chichi reach Kame House, and the Turtle Hermit is pleasantly surprised to see this boy again. Gokuu admits his fondness for the Somersault Cloud, which the Turtle Hermit says is only natural, since it was a gift from God. The Turtle Hermit then notices Chichi, asking Gokuu if the girl shrunk, because she had much bigger breasts before. But Gokuu explains to him that this is a different girl: the Bull Demon King's child, Chichi. The Turtle Hermit ponders the various meanings of her name as Chichi asks Gokuu if this is really the Almighty Fighting Master. Chichi decides to test him, so she throws her helmet blade at him to see if he'll dodge. The old man does turn around to avoid it with his staff, but the blade slices off the tip of the staff and goes right into his head. Chichi decides that he can't be the Almighty Fighting Master, until he pulls out his driver's license to prove his identity. Chichi realizes her mistake and pulls the blade out of his head.

The Turtle Hermit explains that fanning the Banana Fan once will cause strong winds, fanning it twice will summon storm clouds, and fanning it three times will bring down powerful rain. But he wants to know what they want with it. Chichi asks him to let them borrow it to put out the fire on Mount Frypan. The Turtle Hermit has heard rumors about that situation, and is certain that the Banana Fan could indeed put that fire out. The Turtle Hermit takes Gokuu aside and says that he'll let them have the fan, provided he can poke Blooma's breasts. The sea turtle scolds him for such a request, but the Turtle Hermit says that he deserves such things, as a dying old man. The sea turtle denies this claim by citing the fact that the Turtle Hermit once drank an immortality potion. Gokuu, however, sees no problem with this request. Gokuu tells Chichi the good news as the Turtle Hermit goes inside to search for the fan. But he cannot find it, and the sea turtle reminds him that he had used it as a pot holder. The Turtle Hermit then remembers that he spilled wonton soup on it and threw it out.

Chichi begins to cry, but the Turtle Hermit announces that he'll instead go to Mount Frypan and put out the fire personally. He changes his clothes, and then calls for Baby Gamera, since he cannot ride the Somersault Cloud. A small turtle flies spinning to the island, which the Turtle Hermit hops onto and uses to fly, still spinning. At Mount Frypan, Gokuu and Chichi have arrived first, where they explain to the Bull Demon King that the fan is gone, but the Turtle Hermit is coming to extinguish the fire himself.

When the Turtle Hermit arrives, he surveys the situation, and then calls the Bull Demon King over. He lectures the Bull Demon King about killing people to protect his treasure. The Bull Demon King cries and says he was overcome by greed, and that he'll throw out his treasure so long as the fire is extinguished. The Turtle Hermit says he doesn't need to go that far, and then nudges Gokuu about their agreement. Gokuu, the Turtle Hermit, and Blooma all go aside, where the deal is explained to Blooma. Although she initially refuses, the Turtle Hermit brings up the Dragon Ball, so Blooma reluctantly agrees to let him poke her if he actually can extinguish the fire. They then pinky swear on it.

Finally ready to start, the Turtle Hermit takes off his shirt and shell, revealing his bony body. He needs a boost from Gokuu to get up onto a ledge, and then he begins. After a bit of bulking up, the Turtle Hermit suddenly turns into a huge mass of muscle. The Bull Demon King then realizes that the Almighty Fighting Master is going to use a "Kamehameha Wave." Yamcha has also heard of the Kamehameha Wave, and explains the mechanics to Puer: the latent energy in one's body is condensed, and then released all at once.

The Turtle Hermit positions his wrists together, and aims his palms at the flaming mountain while slowly chanting, "Ka...me...ha...me...ha...!!" A thick beam comes out of his hands and is launched directly toward the mountain. Gokuu, Blooma, Oolong, the Bull Demon King, Puer, Yamcha, and Chichi all look on in amazement. When it's done, the Turtle Hermit rests. The Bull Demon King points out that while the fire is now gone, so are the mountain and the castle. The Turtle Hermit nervously says he overdid it.

Oolong thinks that finding the ball in this wreck will be impossible, but Blooma is confident, thanks to the Dragon Radar. Meanwhile, the Bull Demon King is simply happy about the cooler weather, though the Turtle Hermit feels bad about destroying his castle. But Chichi reassures him that they can rebuild it. Gokuu then says he wants to learn that cool technique, but the Turtle Hermit tells him it requires 50 years of training to master the Kamehameha Wave. As the Turtle Hermit continues talking to the Bull Demon King and Chichi, Gokuu manages to perform a small Kamehameha Wave, wrecking his group's car.

The Bull Demon King is shocked, but would expect as much from Gohan's grandson. The Turtle Hermit did not know that connection, but recalls that he had heard that Gohan had found and raised a child with a tail. He decides to ask Gokuu about Gohan, to which the boy bluntly responds that Grandpa is dead. The Turtle Hermit then offers to train Gokuu, and Gokuu happily accepts; he'll go as soon as he's done finding Dragon Balls. Yamcha is amazed, since it's rare to be taken in as the Almighty Fighting Master's student.

After sifting through some rocks, Blooma finally finds the Qi Xing Qiu, the ball with seven stars. She's happy, until she notices Gokuu destroyed the car. Luckily, the Bull Demon King decides to give them his own car. Blooma then checks the Dragon Radar, and notes that the last Dragon Ball is far to the west. She prepares to leave with Gokuu and Oolong, but the Turtle Hermit suddenly reminds her about their promise. Blooma then pulls Oolong aside, and demands that he turn into her and take her place, otherwise... Oolong reluctantly submits. After one failed attempt, Oolong becomes the spitting image of Blooma, and calls the Turtle Hermit over. He's ready for poking, but 'Blooma' insists he try something more, like pafupafu. 'She' drops her top, and the Turtle Hermit's nose explodes. The real Blooma does not care for this portrayal of herself.

Gokuu, meanwhile, is waiting for them in the car when Chichi approaches him. She tells him to come back when he's older to pick up his bride. Gokuu doesn't understand, but if she'll give him something, he'll certainly come back for it. Blooma and Oolong then get into the car, and everyone says their goodbyes. Yamcha and Puer continue to follow them, changing cars so that they can keep up with the group's new, faster car.
