Story
Gokuu continues smashing up the castle. Yamcha realizes Gokuu has busted open their prison, and futilely tells him to turn back to normal now. Pilaf tells Shuu and Mai to go make the prisoners quiet down as Gokuu busts into their bedroom. Pilaf then fully wakes up and realizes what is really happening, so he instead orders Shuu and Mai to attack the monster. They attempt to throw pillows and slippers at Gokuu, but with no effect, so the three of them begin running for their lives. Meanwhile, the others take the opportunity to climb out of their prison cell. Blooma needs Yamcha's help to climb out, but when he is hesitant to get near her, Oolong gives her a boost instead.
The pajama-clad Pilaf gang quickly runs to a hangar and into a plane, but the engine will not start. Just before Gokuu reaches them, Mai finally gets it to work, and they then take off excitedly. Yamcha's group runs across the ground outside the castle, where Blooma hurts her leg. Yamcha is again hesitant to help her due to his fear, but he eventually realizes he has no choice. He grabs Blooma, Oolong, and Puer, and carries them all under his arms and runs. In their plane, Pilaf suddenly wants to attack the monster again, angry at it for destroying his castle, so he orders Mai to turn the plane around. Yamcha finds a hiding spot and takes a break, tossing Blooma aside right away.
Pilaf's plane begins firing shots at Gokuu, causing Yamcha and the others to become concerned. Gokuu angrily swats at the plane in retaliation, but Pilaf decides to launch his special missile at Gokuu. The missile appears to kill the boy, which greatly saddens his friends. Pilaf exits his plane to angrily kick the corpse, but this causes Gokuu to reawaken, proving he is still alive after all. Pilaf's group attempts to fly away in their plane again, but Gokuu grabs a piece of castle and throws it at them. It's a direct hit, causing the plane to crash. The castle piece then lands near Yamcha and the others.
Pilaf, Shuu, and Mai have all survived, as have Yamcha, Oolong, and Puer. Blooma, however, is stuck under the castle piece, and Gokuu comes stomping along before Yamcha can get her free. The boys do finally free her just as Gokuu arrives, and Gokuu then grabs her between his giant fingers. She yells at Gokuu, but soon faints at the sight of his giant teeth. Puer then reminds Yamcha about Gokuu's tail being his weak point, so Yamcha hopes it is also this monster's weak point. He attacks the castle wreckage with Wolf Fang Wind Wind Fist in order to create a sword out of it, but the castle sword instantly breaks when he attempts to cut Gokuu's tail with it. Yamcha grabs onto Gokuu's tail for safety, and Puer and Oolong soon join him, causing Gokuu to stop his rampage. Yamcha then tells Puer to turn into a pair of scissors to cut off Gokuu's tail. With that, Gokuu drops Blooma and slowly returns to normal, and is left asleep and naked as Oolong holds his severed tail.
Pilaf curses the damage to his castle and begins crying, but cheers up when he finds two pistols. He hands them to Shuu and Mai and suggests that this is the best chance to attack those guys. Shuu and Mai rush towards them, while Pilaf darts off in the other direction. He insists he isn't running away, but Shuu and Mai do not believe him, so they chase after him. The next morning, everyone reflects on what had happened the previous night. Gokuu is still sleeping, and Blooma's vest is being used to cover him up. Oolong complains about the problems Gokuu caused, but Yamcha thinks it was good in that it gave them the chance to escape. Blooma suggests they don't tell Gokuu the truth about his grandfather's death. Oolong wonders if Gokuu could be an alien as the boy finally begins to wake up.
Gokuu wonders where his clothes went. Blooma tells Oolong to give Gokuu the underwear, but Oolong refuses, and instead gives Gokuu his own pants. Gokuu is having lots of trouble standing up, however, which Yamcha says is probably because he isn't used to balancing without his tail. Gokuu finally notices this, and can't believe his tail is gone, but quickly shrugs it off, causing everyone to fall over. He now wonders about the Compliance Staff's whereabouts, and heads to the remains of the castle to search for it, falling down many times along the way.
Oolong wonders what they should do now, since it will be a year before they can search for the Dragon Balls again. Blooma and Yamcha are both disappointed that it will be another year before they get their wishes for a dreamy boyfriend and a woman to marry. They then suddenly get a realization and face each other. Gokuu happily returns with his staff, still falling down repeatedly, and finds that Oolong is annoyed. Oolong points over to Yamcha and Blooma, who are blissfully holding hands and dancing, along with Puer. Blooma's injured leg acts up again, but Yamcha happily tends to it this time.
Blooma tells Gokuu that she and Yamcha are going to the city, and asks Gokuu if he wants to come along as well. But Gokuu says that he wants to go train with the Turtle Hermit in order to become stronger. He explains that he now has to worry about whoever was strong enough to destroy the castle. Blooma asks Oolong what he'll do. Oolong decides he'll go to the city too, since there are lots of girls there. Gokuu wants to gather the Dragon Balls again in one year, but Blooma and Yamcha say they don't need them anymore. Gokuu still wants to find Grandpa's memento, however, but doesn't know how to find them, so Blooma gives him the Dragon Radar as a present. Yamcha then takes out a capsule, and a plane comes out of it. Gokuu then calls for the Somersault Cloud, and they all say goodbye to each other and go their separate ways.
